To prepare for your ResurFX session and maximize results, please follow these pre-care recommendations:
Skip the Sun & Tanning
Avoid sun exposure and all forms of tanning—including spray tans—for 2 to 4 weeks before treatment to protect your skin and prevent complications.
Disclose Medications
Let your provider know if you’ve taken Accutane in the past 6 months or are using photosensitizing medications. This helps ensure safe, effective treatment.
Pause Active Skincare
Stop using retinoids, AHAs/BHAs, and exfoliating products at least 5 days prior. These ingredients can increase sensitivity and interfere with results.
Hold Off on Antibiotics
Avoid antibiotics in the 7 days leading up to your appointment unless cleared by your provider. Certain medications can affect skin response.
Shave, Don't Wax
Shave the treatment area the day before your session. Do not wax, pluck, or thread, as these methods can irritate the skin and disrupt the process.
Hydrate for Healing
Drink plenty of water in the days before and after treatment. Well-hydrated skin heals faster and responds better to rejuvenation.
Arrive with Clean Skin
Come to your appointment with bare skin—no makeup, lotions, or oils. This allows for optimal laser contact and better outcomes.
Postpone if Skin Is Compromised
