Patient Requirements: Pre-Treatment Guidelines
To ensure the best results and safety for your laser hair removal session, please follow these guidelines before your appointment:
- Shave the treatment area 24 hours prior to your appointment. Do not wax, tweeze, or use depilatories for at least 4 weeks prior.
- Avoid sun exposure (including tanning beds and self-tanners) for at least 2 weeks before treatment.
- Do not apply any lotions, oils, deodorants, or makeup on the treatment area the day of your appointment.
- Notify us of any medications you are taking, especially antibiotics or photosensitizing drugs.
- Avoid active skincare ingredients (retinoids, glycolic acids, salicylic acid, etc.) on the treatment area 3–5 days before treatment.
Hair must have pigment for treatment to be effective. Laser hair removal does not work on white, gray, or very light blonde hair.
