Eliminate veins quickly and easily to attain clearer, more beautiful skin with Laser Vein Removal services by DermaCenter™. A genetic predisposition to weak vein walls and vein valves, as well as aging, pregnancy, birth control pills, lack of exercise, prolonged sitting or standing, and obesity can contribute to the appearance of unsightly varicose and spider veins on the body, most often on the legs. Spider Vein Removal services by DermaCenter™ include the use of intense pulses of light on unwanted veins. Trapped blood inside the veins absorbs the light energy and causes the body to collapse the veins. This non-invasive service usually requires at least three treatments to see full results.
BEFORE
AFTER
The laser emits a specialized light that is absorbed by the blood found in veins. The laser causes the vein to close and be absorbed by the body.
The majority of the treated veins will disappear within two to three treatments, which are administered in three to four week intervals. Additional treatments may be necessary to achieve the maximum long-term effect. New veins may appear with time and require additional treatments.
Laser therapy is safe and has few possible complications. Common side effects include bruising, redness and discomfort around the treated area. These effects are not dangerous and resolve over time.
There is no downtime after Laser Vein Removal, but you should not exercise for a couple days following the procedure.
The benefits of Laser Vein Removal over other therapies are that there is no downtime, and it is faster than other therapies. Excellent results are achieved with a few treatments.
After treatment, a heated sensation may occur, redness may appear around the treated area and there may be mild swelling. This will disappear in a few days. A cold compress may be applied to the treated area.
Clients with spider veins on their legs are candidates for Laser Vein Removal. Both light and dark-skinned clients can safely and effectively benefit from Laser Vein Removal.
Clients taking blood thinners are generally not candidates for Laser Vein Removal. Also, clients with dark suntans, bleeding disorders, or those currently taking photosensitizing medications may also want to avoid Laser Vein Removal.
No specific preparation is necessary, except for avoiding the sun in the week or two before your procedure.
During the procedure, you wear goggles to prevent exposure of your eyes to laser light. When the laser is activated, you may feel a stinging sensation similar to a rubber band snap. A topical local anesthetic may be applied before the procedure to reduce discomfort.
You may notice some redness and swelling for the first few hours. Also, bruising may occur for the first 24 to 48 hours.
