KYBELLA® is the only FDA-approved injectable treatment that destroys fat cells in the treatment area under the chin to improve your profile.
The active ingredient in KYBELLA® is synthetic deoxycholic acid. Deoxycholic acid is a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. When injected into the fat beneath the chin, KYBELLA® destroys fat cells, resulting in a noticeable reduction in fullness under the chin.
Common areas are beneath the chin, armpit fat, back fat/bra bulge, abdomen, inner thighs, back of thighs below the butt (banana roll).
A dull aching pain is common, but the pain is tolerable. We use local aesthetic injections as well as ice to help with this pain.
5-7 weeks you should start to see results. Not everyone will see results after only 1 treatment.
The average person needs between 2-4 treatments. At least 1 month apart.
After KYBELLA® treatment, you will have swelling. Other possible side effects are bruising, and/or numbness under your chin.
